Project Description

Set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centers on Tevye, a poor dairyman, and his five daughters.  This special adaptation of the nine-time Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, Fiddler on the Roof JR.  tackles the universal theme of tradition in ways that reach across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion.

ACTORS INFORMATION

Audition Intensive : To Be Confirmed

Saturday Morning at Emerge Church Upstairs Studio. Cost $50.

This intensive workshop will prepare actors for an audition. How to deliver a monologue (characterisation, physical movement, projection, accents, style.) How to present an audition song (characterisation, acting while singing, telling the story, and technique.) The directors will provide individual feedback to every person in the workshop.

Auditions are required if you want a lead or minor role, featured dancer or soloist. We guarantee that everyone who auditions will be included in the cast!

Rehearsals : To Be Confirmed

Rehearsals for BJT productions follow our unique “Show in a week” formula. They will run on the Monday to Friday promptly from 8:30am to 5:00pm.

Audition Monologue

The actor is required to sing a song, dance, and memorise a monologue with the required characterisation. Younger children may memorise a sentence or two instead of the entire monologue.
